Dear Guests,
Today I would like to invite you to visit my new Photo Impression about the battlefields around Neuve Chapelle - Richebourg. From the Illiès Deutscher Soldatenfriedhof and the Illiès-la Bouchaine German stronghold, we made a tour north-westward via the Portuguese Military Cemetery and the Indian Memorial at Port Arthur/la Bombe, Neuve Chapelle village and some of its German bunkers, the Bois du Biez, Chocolat Menier Corner, Richebourg, le Touret Cemetery, the Portuguese Memorial at la Couture, and the Vieille Chapelle Cemetery to finish at the Zelobes Indian Cemetery at the hamlet of l'Embranchement-Zelobes.

Loos.
My recent Photo Impression about the battlefield of Loos-en Gohelle : Quarry Cemetery and the site of the Hohenzollern Redoubt. Next in the centre of the battlefield; le Rutoire, St. Mary ADS Cemetery and the two other close by cemeteries. In the south; Loos British Cemetery, the former location of the Tower Bridge in Loos, and Dud Corner Cemetery & Loos Memorial.
Peter Barton's Arras.

Alsace - Sundgau - Col du Bonhomme.
The photo impression about the Alsace-Sundgau, the ultimate, southern end of the Western Front, has been extended with in total 55 maps and 2010 photos extra! I edited new extensions about the German front lines and three important sites related to Caporal Peugeot and his opponent of Leutnant Mayer. Near Pfetterhouse, we visited the last German bunkers of the Western Front along the Franco-Swiss border.

First Warning: Sometimes on the battlefield you will still find relics of explosives. All these shells, hand grenades, and mortar rounds can even nowadays still be very dangerous. Some of the artillery bombs may contain poison gass, which can cause severe blistering or worse injuries. In France it is by law forbidden to remove relics from the battlefield. So, it is for your own safety: take a picture of the steel harvest, but leave these relics untouched!
Second Warning: Do not enter fortresses, bunkers, or tunnel systems without proper guidance or thorough preparation. This can be very dangerous. In many strongholds the walls and ceilings are unstable, and there might be shafts, until 40m. deep. Only recently, on 12 July 2009, a 25-year old, Swiss tourist was not cautious enough, and fell down one of these shafts of Fort de Souville near a Pamart bunker for about 20 m.! It took a special rescue team almost 3 hours to rescue this still lucky tourist!
